Brown pays tribute to two hospitality stalwarts lost this week

Tourism Minister Dr. Ewart Brown paid tribute yesterday to two stalwarts of Bermuda?s hospitality industry.

He said singer Angelo Mitchell, who died this week, was a shining example of a person whose passion was hospitality.

?All of us at the Ministry were deeply saddened and heartbroken after hearing the news,? Dr. Brown said.

?Even under the most trying circumstances, he could be counted on to maintain his composure and deliver the product, whether as captain in the dining room or one of Bermuda?s best song stylists.?

He said the nation had also mourned the loss of Steve Dupres, another musician. He said the steel drummer, who was originally from Trinidad, contributed to the excitement and entertainment in Bermuda.

?He was a very thoughtful and caring man, our condolences go to his family in Bermuda and Trinidad.?
