Auto dealer Holmes, Williams and Purvey Ltd. has made five administration staff redundant after suffering from the weakness of the dollar against the euro and yen.

A spokesman said the company structure had been adapted, with new computer equipment making the posts unnecessary. HWP has 170 staff.

The five left three weeks ago and New Venture Group, which includes HWP, will try to absorb them into other positions in the group.
