Horton inducted

The Education Minister was inducted into the The Company of Honorary Fellows of the Bermuda College.

Minister Randy Horton was inducted into the group along with the CEO of the Bank of Bermuda HSBC, Philip Butterfield.

The chairman of the group, Lt. Col. Michael Darling, said that an Honorary Fellows Fund would be established from donations received for the evening?s dinner.

He said: ?We will help them raise funds for future worthy developments of the College. We have contacts.

?Bermuda College is a very fine College with incredible people. We need not be shy or ashamed of our achievements.?

Acting Premier, Paula Cox, was on hand and said the Company of Honorary Fellows played an integral role in raising the standard of education and continuing the Bermuda College?s legacy of education and leadership. Former Government Senator Raymond Tannock was also inducted to the group along with Christopher Astwood and former Ernst & Young managing partner and chairman Jan Spiering

Lt. Col. Darling said the gala dinner was the first of many more such events that would be staged on behalf of the College.
