Premier leaves for OTCC meeting
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 15: Premier Paula Cox left the Island last night for London to attend the annual Overseas Territories Consultative Council (OTCC) meeting.
According to a statement, Ms Cox will “engage with the British Government in discussions of specific interest to Bermuda and mutual interest in Bermuda's relationship with the Commonwealth”.
Topics for discussions are the UK/Overseas Territories relationship and the new strategy for the Overseas Territories; Criminal Justice in the Territories; Transport (Aviation and Maritime); the Environment. The final session on Identity and Passport Services, will be lead by Ms Cox on behalf of the Territories.
Bermuda will additionally hold a separate bilateral meeting with the Minister for the Overseas Territories.
