Wellington Oval trial aborted due to sick juror

The Wellington Oval trial was aborted yesterday after a juror, ill with diabetes complication, was too sick to continue.

The trial had already been delayed on Monday after the foreman had to help fix his roof which was taken off in the twister which hit Smith's.

Yesterday Puisne Judge Charles-Etta Simmons took the decision to put trial to next month's arraignment session when a new date will be selected and a new jury chosen.

Ki-Roy Kinta Butterfield, 27, of Cherry Hill Park, Paget, Jahcai Morris, 24, Sylvan Dell, Paget, and Tahir Nesta Bascome, 22, of Dunscombe Road, Warwick, have all denied the attempted murder of Tariq Foster at the stadium in St. George's on April 5, 2004.
