The Bermuda Diabetes Association's (BDA) current programme promoting public awareness of the prevalence of diabetes in the island was boosted this week by the Eva Richardson Missionary Society of Allen Temple AME Church, Somerset.

The Society presented a cheque to the Association representing part proceeds from the church's tenth annual Health Fair and Walk.

The donation was received by the BDA's heath administrator and programme director, Sara Burrows.

The Rev. Betty L. Furbert-Woolridge, Allen Temple's pastor, is seen on the right making the presentation to Ms Burrows.

Centred between them is missionary president Mrs. Grennel Stocks. Other missionaries looking on are Alsace Trott, Annette Jones, Anita Saltus, Rosemarie Burrows, Valerie Wade, Berkeley Institute student Jalande Greves, Monica Doers, Cindy Edwards, Dauphine Dickerson, Marilyn Burchall.
