An American Airlines flight was diverted to the Island yesterday evening after a sick passenger required immediate medical attention.

The plane landed at 7.21 p.m and was on its way from Boston to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The 60-year-old female passenger was rushed to the King Edward IIV Memorial Hospital.

The American Airlines flight took off shortly after on its way to San Juan.
