Annual Exhibition draws foreign dignitaries

Foreign dignitaries, high-divers, trampolines and an explosion of gospel music are promised at next month?s Annual Exhibition.

The Exhibition ? known as the Ag Show until February 2003 ? attracted at least 30,000 people last year, after infrastructure damage at the Botanical Gardens caused by Hurricane Fabian forced a cancellation in 2004.

?As you know, the Bermuda Annual Exhibition is the premier local event on Bermuda?s calendar and this year?s exhibition will be very impressive and not to be missed,? Environment Minister Neletha Butterfield said on Thursday.

Ms Butterfield also said a very large contingent of overseas guests would be attending the 68th Exhibition on April 20, 21 and 22 ? including Cayman Islands? Leader of Government Business Kurt Tibbetts.

After performers Cirque Magnifique stole the show in 2005, this year?s overseas entertainment will include the Top Cop High Dive Show and the French Connection Trampoline Show, exhibition planner Georgette Caines said.
