A Southampton woman caught with cannabis has been fined $800.

Regena Tracey-Ann Bean was at the junction of Princess Street and Angle Street, Pembroke, when she was spotted by Police on foot patrol.

A court heard she was making a home-made cigarette that she tried to hide. She later told Police it was ?ganja?. Tests revealed it was 0.44 grams of cannabis.

Bean, 33, of Evan?s Bay, admitted the possession charge on August 20 when she appeared in Magistrates? Court yesterday.
