BA shifts Saturday's flight to Heathrow
The last British Airways (BA) flight of the season, this Saturday's flight, will land at Heathrow Airport in London rather Gatwick Airport, BA said yesterday.
The 767 fleet are returning to Heathrow to prepare for operation from that airport on the winter schedule, said district manager Philip Troake.
"We wish to stress that this is for one flight only and is due to the fact that all 767 aircraft are being transferred to Heathrow to be in position to operate there at the start of the winter schedule," he said.
The Boeing 777 is set to replace the 767 during the winter season.
Mr. Troake said: "We are presently trying to contact all passengers to advise them of this and we will make the necessary changes to onward flights.
"For those passengers who wish to terminate at Gatwick, we shall be providing free Speedlink bus transfers from Heathrow to Gatwick Airport.
"We would also like to advise passengers that due to the daylight saving time change this week the flight on Saturday will leave Bermuda at 8.55 p.m. arriving into Heathrow at 6.40 a.m," he added.
