$1,000 fine for unlawful wounding

A St. George?s man said an argument with the mother of his children had him ?already angry? when another man made the mistake of coming to his door and asking for drugs.

Damon Peter Smith, of Tommy Fox Road in St. George?s, pleaded guilty to unlawfully wounding the man, explaining he did not appreciate the request.

He also admitted to breaking into the victim?s own house later that evening to give him a verbal warning not to pull such a stunt again, though he denied any memory of using a knife in either incident.
