Fighting over boat races

Fighting erupted at a Hamilton bar during a dispute over the outcome of a series of boat races. Police were called to Robin Hood and found a blue taser ? a small gun that releases electrical currents.

An eyewitness who wished to remain anonymous told that the evening had started off in good humour.

After the boat races, the winners posed for pictures taken by Bermynet. Later fighting broke out by the terrace over who won the races. The source blamed the problem on young people having too much to drink.

After the Police arrived the crowd left and no one was arrested.

Investigations are taking place.

Foul play not ruled out

Police have not ruled out foul play in the death of a 37-year-old American at the Brightside Apartments in Flatts this week.

The Bermuda Police Service said yesterday they were continuing to investigate the circumstances of the death of Peter Pappas, who was found by the guest house manager in an unresponsive state shortly after 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police have not ruled out suicide as a cause of death.
