Daniele Sebastian Rebello, of Harbour Road, Paget, admitted saying to Police: "F**k you, f**k Police, f**k English, and f**k you all."

Rebello, who speaks Portuguese, had a translator present in court who said Rebello was drunk and agitated from an earlier altercation in a bar.

"He was letting off steam," said the translator.

Senior Magistrate Archie Warner said that it was more than just letting off steam; it was disrespectful and fined him $1,500.

Drugs charges denied

A 40-year-old Paget man denied possession of cocaine and cannabis in Magistrates' Court.

Terrance Webb was charged on Tuesday with possession of cocaine with intent to supply and possession of cannabis on April 22 in Paget. Magistrate Ed King set bail at $2,000 with one surety and set a trial date for November 30.

Violence charge

A Pembroke man denied violently resisting arrest and using threatening words this week in Magistrates' Court.

Carlton Simmons, 27, was charged with violently resisting arrest on November 16 in Pembroke and saying: "I ain't going nowhere ? I'll fight you guys."

Senior Magistrate Archie Warner set a trial date for February 15, 2005 and released Simmons on $1,000 bail.

Car burgled

A thief broke into a car parked on Front Street over the weekend, stealing a wallet with more than $100 in cash inside.

The car was broken into between 1.30 and 4 p.m. on Sunday and a brown Liz Claiborne wallet containing $112 and other personal items was stolen.

Food stolen

Meats, juices, salads, and grapes were stolen from The MarketPlace warehouse on Pitts Bay Road, Pembroke this week.

The break-in happened between 5.40 p.m. on Monday and 7.15 a.m. on Tuesday when someone gained entry into a container on the premises.

And a Nokia cell phone, a Sony Digital Video camera, a gold watch, and $365 in cash were stolen from a Shaw Wood Crescent, Pembroke home between 8 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. that day.

Theft charge denied

A 35-year-old Southampton man denied stealing $1,020 from Bermuda Motors Ltd. in Magistrates' Court.

Dean Allen Grant, represented by Larry Scott, was bailed for $1,000 and will be tried on January 13, 2005.

Grant is alleged to have stolen the money between September 13 and November 3 in Pembroke.

Heroin costs man

A Warwick man was fined $1,000 yesterday in Magistrates' Court for possession of 0.17 grams of heroin.

The court heard that Jose Fidalgo, 27, was pulled over by Police while riding a motorcycle on Middle Road, Devonshire.

A search revealed two newspaper twists containing brown powder ? when analysed it was found to be diamorphine, better known as heroin.

Senior Magistrate Archie Warner fined Fidalgo $1,000.

Visitor fined

An American visitor was fined $1,000 yesterday in Magistrates' Court for importing 0.54 grams of cannabis into the Island.

Daniel Jerome Doyle, 30, of New York admitting to bringing the drugs into Bermuda aboard a commercial flight from the US.

Doyle told Police he was suffering from a medical condition and needed the cannabis to help him eat.
