Firefighters battle two tree fires
Police are continuing to appeal for anyone who saw a man walking or riding a pedal cycle in the Harbour Road/Middle Road, Paget area in the early hours of Tuesday morning to contact Hamilton CID on 295-0011 in connection with a break-in occurring at the time.
?We would also like to remind the public to secure their homes at all times, and to make sure all doors and windows are locked before leaving the premises,? said a Police spokesman. ?If any suspicious activities or persons are seen in the area, call Police on 295-0011, or the confidential Crimestoppers hotline on 1-800-623-8477.?
Harbour Road burglar nabbed
Police are seeking a witness to a robbery on Rosemont Avenue on New Year?s Eve.
The witness was seen walking a dog around 1.10 a.m. when two men on a motorcycle robbed a 22-year-old man who was riding along the Pembroke road.

Movie-loving thief strikes in Hamilton Parish
A deli customer had to turn and flee from a woman who rejected his advances on Tuesday.
Police were called to the Washington Mall around 4.10 p.m. on Tuesday to investigate a report of indecent touching.
The victim said shortly before 3 p.m. she was in the Washington Mall Deli ordering food when a man she did not know placed his hand on her buttocks.
She turned and confronted the man, asking what he was doing. He made no reply.
She then punched him several times, and the man fled the scene. Police stated: ?The victim bravely chased after the suspect, following him onto Washington Lane before he was finally able to make good his escape in the vicinity of the bus terminal.?
Despite the successful escape, Police have identified the suspect, and inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
