Four people were arrested for suspected impaired driving over the weekend. Despite repeated pleas from Police to slow down and follow the rules of the road there were 16 accidents, 13 resulting in injury.

A thief took $600 in cash from a Secretary Lane home in St. George?s on Friday evening. The intruder is believed to have entered between 2.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m.

The 25-year-old St. George?s man who was thrown from his convertible on Sunday is in critical but stable condition at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital?s Intensive Care Unit.

The man was involved in a single vehicle collision on Harrington Sound Road in Smith?s Parish near the junction of Paynters Road at about 4.30 p.m. He lost control of his car as he attempted to round a corner. The car collided with trees and rolled over several times. The man sustained serious head injuries and the car was badly damaged. Witnesses should call P.c. Veronica Outerbridge.
