A runner had $500 and a cellular phone stolen from him on Wednesday afternoon while exercising at the National Sports Complex in Devonshire.
Police said the runner put his bag at the side of the track but when he returned found his money and phone were gone.
And a shoplifter ran down Reid Street with stolen clothing at around 11.30 a.m. on Wednesday, Police said on Thursday.
Police said the woman asked to try on several items of clothing and was in the changing room for some time without making a purchase.
?It was at that time it was noticed that the woman made good her escape with some of the clothing without paying for them,? Police said.
More than $1,300 in cash was taken from two visiting couples? rooms last Saturday, Police said.
The first visiting couple awoke at 11.20 p.m. that day to find a burglar in their room at a Smith?s guest property.
?They shouted at the man, who grabbed a handbag from the table before making good his escape,? Police said yesterday. ?The handbag contained US$600 in cash and personal items.?
The couple were not injured, Police said, however, another $320 cash in a black wallet was also discovered to be missing.
Sometime between 12.30 a.m. and 9.30 a.m. on the same day, another visiting couple, this time staying at a Sandys guest property, reported that an unknown culprit broke into their room and stole a brown leather wallet containing $400 cash.
And some time between 11.30 p.m. on Saturday and 4.10 a.m. last Sunday , a Sharp 30-inch flat screen TV and a PlayStation 2 video game system were taken during a burglary at a Cedar Avenue, Pembroke apartment, Police said.
A burglary took place at the Heron Bay Plaza on Wednesday evening when someone gained entry and stole $100 from a cash register from one of the shops in the plaza.
Police who were called to investigate the break-in discovered that other stores in the complex had also been vandalised sometime between 6 p.m. on Wednesday and 1.50 a.m. on Thursday.
Two drunk drivers were fined $1,000 and disqualified from driving all vehicles for 12 months in Magistrates? Court on Thursday.
Mario Pacheco 44, of South Shore Road, Smith?s pleaded guilty to driving drunk on Harrington Sound Road on May 30.
Crown counsel Cindy Clarke said Pacheco was involved in a collision at around 9.29 p.m.
Pacheco?s lowest breathalyser reading was 103 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milligrams of blood.
The legal limit is 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milligrams of blood.
In another matter, Lhari Philpott, 23, of Rambling Lane, Pembroke admitted to driving while impaired on Church Street.
Ms Clarke said Philpott was spotted by Police at 3.14 a..m. driving very fast in a black Honda.
The prosecutor added the car was swerving across the centre line, and staying very close to the sidewalk.
Police stopped Philpott who told them: ?I had three or four.?
His lowest breathalyser reading was 140 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
