Breaking News: $100,000 reward for information on 2010 shootings

Crime Stoppers Bermuda today posted a $100,000 reward for information on the 38 shootings that have taken place this year.

Police have reported two shooting murders and seven injuries in 2010.

Ads will run in The Royal Gazette and the Bermuda Sun tomorrow asking for “help to stop this madness before someone else dies”.

The appeal reads in part: “Crime Stoppers Bermuda, in partnership with the CONCERNED BUSINESS COMMUNITY and Rise Above Bermuda are offering a reward of up to $100,000 for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of individuals involved in these murders and/or the seizure of firearms.”

Persons with information are asked to contact the confidential Crime Stoppers number 800-8477 (TIPS) or send a message on www.crimestoppers.bm.

“The information you provide anonymously could help identify these criminals. We do not want to know your name, but we do need your help to stop this senseless violence.”

See tomorrow's edition of The Royal Gazette for the full story.
