Breaking News: Bermuda skier Murphy places 88th in Olympics race

Bermuda’s only athlete in the Winter Olympics today finished in 88th position in the men’s 15 kilometre freestyle cross-country race.

Tucker Murphy was one of 95 competitors racing for the gold at Whistler Olympic Park in Vancouver, Canada. He is the first Bermuda cross-country skier to compete in the Winter Olympics.

The race was won by Switzerland’s Dario Cologna. The silver medal was won by Italian Pietro Piller Cottrer, while Czech skier Lukas Bauer collected the bronze.
