Breaking News: Houston misses out on finals

Bermuda sprinter Tre Houston missed out on reaching today’s finals of the 200 metres at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India.
Houston finished in sixth place in the semis with a time of 21.25 seconds. England’s Leon Baptiste who posted a time of 20.45 won the final.
In round one of the 200m yesterday, Houston came third with a time of 21.42 seconds. He then ran a quicker time in the second round (21.06) to finish third again.
Bermuda long jumper Tyrone Smith finished fifth in the men’s long jump final yesterday.
Smith, who won a gold medal at the CAC Games, posted a leap of 7.76 metres. The event was won Australia’s Fabrice Lapierre who jumped 8.30m.
