Convicted paedophile Jonathan Cumberbatch was sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment today for exploiting and sexually assaulting three siblings.

Cumberbatch, 47, pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor while in a position of trust, and one count of sexual assault.

While defence attorney Llewellyn Peniston stressed that the incident was a one-time offence, Puisne Judge Charles-Etta Simmons said the victims would be constantly reminded of the crime.

Cumberbatch was sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment for sexual assault and 10 years for each count of sexual exploitation. All of the sentences are to run concurrently.

He will not be eligible for parole until he has served at least six years.
