Breaking News: Parks workers walk off job

Parks workers walked off the job this morning in protest after two of them were disciplined over an exchange of words with Environment Minister Glenn Blakeney.
The dispute comes amid concerns over their pay and conditions — in particular news that they are being given time in lieu instead of overtime for this year’s agricultural exhibition.
They are currently assembled in their work yard at the Botanical Gardens, with their union representative said to be in negotiations to resolve the issue.
