A trash truck this afternoon collided with three cars, extensively damaging the vehicles — but no-one was seriously injured.

It is understood that a tyre may have burst on the truck forcing it to swerve into on-coming traffic at Barnes Corner.The truck then collided with three other vehicles.

Police said the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service freed the trapped trash truck driver.

A Police spokesman said: “It appears that there were no serious injuries; however the vehicles involved were extensively damaged. Motorists are advised to take alternate routes.”
