Breaking News: Woman in ICU after crash

A woman is in intensive care after a motorcycle accident which left three people with head injuries.

The incident happened in Blackwatch Pass, Pembroke, at 8 p.m. yesterday, when a motorcycle heading north was in collision with an auxiliary cycle travelling in the opposite direction.

The 30-year-old driver of the motorcycle, from Pembroke, received head injuries and cuts to his left foot, while his passenger, a 29-year-old Pembroke woman, sustained head injuries. Her condition was today described as “stable”.

A 31-year-old woman from Smith’s however, is in ICU following the accident. The woman was driving an auxiliary cycle and suffered head injuries and a fractured left wrist.

A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: “All of the injured parties were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The motorcycle and the auxiliary cycle were extensively damaged as a result. Inquiries into this incident are underway.”
