BUSTED!
Police made more than 20 arrests for drugs and immigration offences and found a large haul of marijuana after busting a Union Street house last night.
Dozens of armed Police, dog handlers and narcotics officers swooped into the area after tip-offs from locals.
Police media spokesman Coleman Easton said the operation was part of a targeting operation hitting drug hotspots across the Island.
He said: "There were arrests for drug possession, obstruction and immigration offences. We found a sizeable quantity of plant material.
"This has been planned for sometime after information came from people living in the area about drug activities."
A crowd of locals watched the operation as Police combed the building and grounds for more drugs.
One resident told The Royal Gazette: "I have been concerned about that house for some time. It's good to see the Police there."
