..but everyone wants to see his film debut
Harry Potter fever has gripped Bermuda with tickets for the movie selling out days in advance.
The film opens on the Island and in the United States on Friday, but tickets for the first weekend at the Little Theatre in Hamilton have already sold out.
Staff at the cinema are predicting the movie about the bespeckled boy wizard will be the most popular ever to show at the Little Theatre. Parents as well as adults are desperate to view the movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, ensuring the film will gross hundreds of millions of dollars across the world.
The film is scheduled for a three week run, but staff at the Little Theatre are predicting they will have to extend it to meet popular demand.
Ada Barboza, office administrator at the Little Theatre, told The Royal Gazette yesterday: "There has been quite big interest in it.
"Everyone has got the book and they're hoping the movie as is good as the book. The first weekend has sold out and I'm pretty sure it will be biggest film we've had judging from the telephone calls we've had. It's going to be a big one. You get a lot of adults who've read the book to their children and they want to see it."
