Carnival cruises filling up

Carnival Cruise Lines, which brings the Carnival Triumph to Bermuda for the first time this June, is getting good bookings, The Royal Gazette has learned.

The 893 ft vessel, which can carry 2,766 passengers, comes to St. George's for three voyages in June from Norfolk, Virginia, and Charleston, South Carolina.

Claudia Banio, the international business development manager at Carnival, said: “Americans love Bermuda and the Bermuda market is doing nicely.”

The visit should be a boost for the Old Town, with the ship spending between two and four days at Kings Wharf, depending on the sailing.
