The Bermuda Donor Forum will be hosting a meeting for the Centre of Philanthropy today at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute from 8.30 a.m.
Donor Forum chairman David Lang said charities are ?playing an increasingly important role in our economy?.
But the Centre for Philanthropy might be seeking a stronger position in Bermuda?s ?charitable community?.
Mr. Lang said: ?It is commonly felt that there is a need for more discussion, cooperation and partnership among Bermuda?s large charities.?
He said the centre will propose a ?draft plan that will drive the collaborative effort of charities, donors and Government to develop the initiatives and institutions necessary?.
