Two machetes were found by school children cleaning up the area surrounding Warwick Bowl.
Twenty students from Paget Primary School?s Pride Pals, aged nine and ten, joined Community Beat Police officers in the clean-up yesterday morning.
After three hours, the children had collected no fewer than 18 30 gallon trash bags.
Two machetes, which Police describe as ?weapons, not the gardening kind? were also found, concealed in some bushes.
?Our praises go out to those young people of Paget Primary for becoming a part of the solution and not the problem,? said a Police spokesman. ?We need more coverage of our young people doing something positive.?
