In the spirit of giving, U.S. Consul General Gregory Slayton and the staff of the American Consulate donated more than $1300 to the Summerhaven Trust in support of services for seniors. A charity which cares for physically disabled elders was given a Christmas boost thanks to a donation from the American Consulate.

US Consul General Gregory Slayton and the rest of his team handed over $1,300 to the Summerhaven Trust.

The centre, in Smith's Parish, is the only specially designed residence for physically disabled people on the Island.

Mr. Slayton said the gesture was made "in the spirit of giving" in support of services for elders.
