Donations believed to top $4 million

The sum total of Mr. Barber's donations since 2000 is not known but it is believed to top $4 million. Among the causes and organisations he donated money to are:

Saltus Grammar School: Installation of new metal windows throughout senior school, facing up/painting building's exterior.

Warwick Academy: $400,000 donation toward a new senior school wing

Maritime Museum: Donated three rooms

TB, Cancer & Health Centre, Point Finger Road: Paid for reception room

Project Action: Four special buses for free use of seniors

Activities Association (Entertainment group for seniors): Travel expenses related to 11 members attending training in Texas.

Adult Education Centre: Large donation

Somerset Primary School: Large donation for new gymnasium equipment/garden furniture

Women's Resource Centre: Large donation

Family Learning Centre: Large donation

Saltus Grammar School and CedarBridge Academy: Travel expenses for two students representing Bermuda in the US. (Rare exceptions to non-individual donations policy)

Bermuda Arts Centre at Dockyard: Large donation

King Edward VII Memorial Hospital: $1 million for a cardiac diagnostic unit.

International Race Weekend: $50,000 to save the event which was under threat from lack of sponsorship.

Bermuda Air Medivac: a $2 million donation to fund an air ambulance for Bermuda.
