Family stable after crash

Four people remained in hospital last night following two serious road accidents on Sunday.However, one of the four, a ten-year-old boy from Somerset has made some improvement and has been taken out of the intensive care unit at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and transferred to the children's ward. He was described as stable last night.

However, one of the four, a ten-year-old boy from Somerset has made some improvement and has been taken out of the intensive care unit at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and transferred to the children's ward. He was described as stable last night.

His mother remained in stable condition on a general ward. The boy's father was discharged from the hospital on Sunday.

They were all injured as they travelled in their car along Somerset Road in Sandys at about 4 a.m. on Sunday, after the driver is believed to have lost control of the vehicle.

And a 19-year-old man was in stable condition in the intensive care unit of the hospital last night after being involved in a head-on collision on Sunday afternoon in Warwick.

He was travelling on a motorcycle when he collided with a 20-year-old man on a motorcycle at the junction of Spice Hill Road and Sun Valley Road in Warwick at about 12.30 p.m.

The 20-year-old was in a stable condition on a general ward yesterday.
