Fifth BA flight takes off
Overseas travel to both sides of the Atlantic is fast becoming more convenient as British Airways introduced its fifth weekly flight this week. And the airline is offering special price deals to introduce that flight beginning immediately and running through to the end of October.
With that flight departing on Mondays, the British Airways? Bermuda schedule is now daily with the exception of Wednesday and Friday. ?We are pleased that our strategy of steady and sustained growth has resulted in this, our fifth weekly service,? district manager Philip Troake said yesterday.
?To mark the event, a ?Monday Special? promotional fare will be available for travel from Bermuda until September 1 on each Monday flight at a price of $749.?
Minimum stay for the promotional fare will be until Saturday night, he said, and travellers can return any day that British Airways flies ? though there will be an additional $30 tacked on to the fee for those travelling on Thursday, Saturday or Sunday.
The Monday Special becomes even cheaper after September 1, Mr. Troake said. From September 2 until October 27, when the Monday flight comes off for the winter, British Airways will offer the fare for $614. The promotional fares are available immediately at a seven-day advance purchase, but will only remain on sale until July 2, he said.
