Fined for waving knife

A 17-year-old Pembroke man who allegedly threatened a security guard with a knife outside the Escape Night-club was fined $250 in Magistrates' Court.

Ezra Williams, 17, of Cedar Park Road, pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon.

He pleaded not guilty on two other charges of uttering offensive words and behaving in a threatening manner waving the knife around in the air.

Crown counsel Sade Subair told the court that Williams had been outside the club during the early hours of Sunday morning where he had been waving the knife in the air talking to one of the security guards.

He told the security guard: "I will meet you out on the road with my knife and I will kill you. I will kill you."

Williams said nothing in court as Mr. Greaves set bail at $1,000 to appear next week for trial.
