Two fire trucks and approximately ten firefighters were sent to extinguish a fire in a dumpster at Gorham's lumber yard on Cemetary Lane yesterday.

Fire personnell had the blaze under control shortly after their arrival at 4 p.m.

The fire, which was contained in a Garbage dumpster, continued to smoulder and billow smoke for approximately an hour after being extinguished.
