There will be full-time parking attendants in the Airport's long-term parking lot from early June, the Department of Airport Operations (DOA) has announced.

The decision was made because of technical problems with the pay and display machines in that area.

"As an interim measure and a convenience for travelling passengers starting June 3, we will have an attendant in the Long Term Parking lot to collect money, cash and cheques only, and issue parking vouchers," said DOA general manager James Howes.

"We still encourage customers to purchase parking vouchers at the Airport Gift Shop located in the check-in area after 9 a.m., where they can use credit or debit card.

"We hope to have the technical difficulties with the pay and display parking machines rectified in the near future."
