United Bermuda Party Leader Grant Gibbons announced a re-shuffle within his Shadow Cabinet yesterday.

Michael Dunkley has been shifted from Health and Family Services to Labour, Home Affairs and Public Safety.

Louise Jackson has been handed the Health and Family Services Shadow Ministry in addition to her current Seniors portfolio.

And veteran MP Maxwell Burgess ? previously Shadow Labour and Home Affairs Minister ? has now been made a Shadow Minister Without Portfolio. Commenting on the new roles and responsibilities, Dr. Gibbons said: "Mrs. Jackson has been a strong, articulate and tireless advocate for Bermuda's seniors.

"With spiralling medical and insurance costs and concerns about the quality of healthcare available for our people, it is obvious that the advocacy and vigilance of Mrs. Jackson are needed now more than ever."

Dr. Gibbons said she would continue to fight for seniors.

"She will now be able to fight for Bermudians of all ages to ensure that they are receiving the quality healthcare they deserve."

He continued: "Michael Dunkley has earned the respect of not only his colleagues but the wider community as well, for speaking out on key issues.

"He will be an effective and strong advocate for ensuring that the war on crime is tough, real and effective. He will also focus on key issues in the areas of labour and immigration."

And he added: "Maxwell Burgess, brings veteran leadership and strong community connections. He will continue to be a strong voice in the House, speaking on a range of subjects and working with his colleagues to get Bermuda back on track and restore good government."
