George Melling has been appointed director of facilities management for the hospitals.

Mr. Melling, who was director of facilities and engineering at BLDC, will be responsible for engineering and maintenance facilities at the hospitals. Board chairman Jonathan Brewin said: "I am delighted to welcome George on board.

"His extensive experience in the multi-faceted environment of facilities and project management both in Bermuda and the UK will be a welcome addition to our team here at BHB."
