Impaired rider banned

A motorbike rider aroused suspicion that he had been drinking when he had difficulty putting his bike on its stand after being stopped by Police.

D?angello Craig Darrell, 24, was riding his bike on Crow Lane on August 13 when he was stopped by Police. As he tried to put his bike on its stand he had difficulty, Crown counsel Nicole Smith told Magistrates? Court.

Darrell, of Pine Tree Lane, Sandys Parish, was asked by the officers if he had been drinking and admitted that he had consumed ?three or four drinks?.

In court on Thursday he pleaded guilty to the offence of driving while over the legal alcohol limit and offered his apology to Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner. Darrell was fined $1,000 and disqualified from driving for 12 months.
