Two portable DVD players, a digital camera and a mini stereo have been stolen from the Bermuda Institute on Middle Road, Southampton.

Police have been told the incident took place between 8 a.m. on Wednesday, December 15 and 8 a.m. on Monday December 20 - when the unknown culprit or culprits managed to enter the Institute's storeroom.

Inquiries are under way.

Sung Sing restaurant employee attacked

A Sung Sing restaurant employee needed hospital treatment after being attacked while locking the premises on Saturday morning.

Police say the assailant demanded cash following the assault. He then fled after his 26-year-old victim told him there wasn't any money. The incident occurred at about 1.30 a.m.

A 28-year-old Pembroke man is helping Police with inquiries.

Police probe North Shore Road break-in

Police are investigating a break-in in North Shore Road, Hamilton Parish. Cash was taken from a house between 8.30 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Sunday.

In addition, Police arrested seven people for impaired driving over the weekend.

There were also 13 non-injury road accidents and nine collisions resulting in injury.
