Kenneth L Joaquin is Bermuda's new Accountant General, replacing Anthony Richardson who has taken a position with the Bank of Bermuda.

Mr. Joaquin was promoted from within the Government Accountant General's Department. He joined in 1998 as a management accountant and in 2000 was promoted to Assistant Accountant General.

Mr. Joaquin assumed his new duties on Monday. He is a certified management accountant. He received his education at the University of Western Ontario and McGill University, both in Canada.

He has professional memberships in the Society of Management Accountants of Bermuda and Nova Scotia.
