Several items of jewellery and an unknown amount of coins were stolen from a Lovers Lane, Paget, home sometime between 8.45 a.m. and 4.45 p.m. on Thursday, Police said.

A Middle Road, Southampton, home was also broken into sometime between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. on Thursday, Police said.

The culprit stole an X-Box game system, a Dell laptop computer, a silver Sony video camera and an unknown amount of coins. Inquiries into these incidents are underway.
