Golf anyone?

In an effort to raise excitement for Bermuda?s golf and spa season, the Department of Tourism last week announced a promotional initiative by supplying hotel concierges and golf clubs with special pink ?Bermuda? monogrammed golf tees.

Tourism Minister Ewart Brown unveiled the items at Cabinet and on hand to receive the first batch was Nelson Bascome, deputy chairman of the Golf Board of Trustees.

Dr. Brown said they wanted visitors to have the best experience possible when they came to Bermuda. ?And what better way for them to feel the love than by receiving specially created golf tees that remind them of Bermuda,? he said.

?So, when they leave the Island, not only are they taking away memories of a positive visitor experience, but they are also taking away something tangible as a reminder by way of the pink Bermuda golf tees.?

Dr. Brown said he believed that this was a good way to welcome visitors and went that extra step in letting them know that Bermuda is thinking about them and hoping they have a wonderful stay.
