Man injured in baseball attack
A man suffered a suspected broken arm after he was allegedly punched and hit with a baseball bat during an assault in Hamilton.
The 37-year-old Pembroke man was approached by two men on Cedar Avenue, one of whom he knew, and money was demanded from him, according to Police.
When the man replied that he had no money he was set upon by the two men, it is claimed. One of the men is said to have used a baseball bat while the other punched his body several times leaving him with a suspected broken left arm and swelling to the left side of his face and ribs.
The injured man is now in a stable condition at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital following the attack, on Tuesday evening
Two suspects, a 20-year-old and 28-year-old both from Devonshire, were arrested at the scene and inquiries are now underway into the alleged assault, which happened at 8.45 p.m.
