Missiles thrown at Police officers

Rocks were hurled at Police who spotted people riding moto-cross cycles dangerously near a children?s playground.

Officers saw three young men, riding without helmets, when they were were called to Parsons Road, Pembroke, at about 5.10 p.m. on Sunday.

As Police approached the trio sped away up Rambling Lane.

While officers were still in the area, thugs started pelting their patrol car with rocks and smashed the front windscreen. Missiles were also hurled at other officers, but they were able to get into the Police vehicle and were not injured.

Police also said two people were hedl over the weekend on suspicion of drink driving and there were seven reports of breaking and entering across the Island.
