Members of Parliament will be discussing amendments to the Motor Car Act and pensions in the House of Assembly today.

The debate will also focus on expanded power for the Bermuda Monetary Authority to protect investors from being defrauded with discussion of The Investment Business Act 2003.

The Motor Car Amendment Act 2003 will also be debated again after discussions to amending the Act were cut short owing to the election. Shared taxi rides, rental trucks and expanded taxi sizes are examples of some of the amendments that have been proposed.

Also on the agenda the Contributory Pensions Amendment Act 2003.
