Warwick Academy has raised funds to build a new 34,000 square foot sports hall.

The new hall will include a gymnasium, trophy hall, changing rooms, classrooms, specialised physical education facilities, an athletics training room and two squash courts. A significant amount of funding came from the Bank of Bermuda Foundation but the school also raised money towards the project.

David Lang, spokesperson for the foundation said: “It gives us great pleasure to be able to contribute towards their effort. We support Warwick Academy's commitment to furthering the all-round development of our young people and encouraging them to live healthy and positive lives. We look forward with great anticipation to the day when they can open their doors to their new facilities for their students and the local community.”

In total $6.9 million will be raised to fund construction. Warwick Academy hopes to break ground sometime later this year.
