The Atlantic Bluefin Tuna will be featured on a new stamp today as part of the World Wildlife Fund Series.
The issue, the third of four commemorative stamp issues released by the Post Office this year, highlights the conservation issues facing the Atlantic Bluefin Tuna. According to the Bermuda Philatelic Bureau, the series of four stamps, valued at 10 cents, 35 cents, 85 cents and $1.10 depict the Bluefin Tuna in migration.
Brian Luckhurst, senior marine resources officer at the Department of Environmental Protection, provided the first day cover details on the stamp and Derek Miller produced the design. Government said the collection continues the Post Office?s efforts to portray all facets of Bermuda?s heritage, culture and history.
