Pair in hospital after accidents

Two men are in hospital with serious injuries following major traffic accidents last week.A 45-year-old man is currently in a stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit of King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after having his bike written off in a heavy collision with a car at the junction of Roberts Avenue and Palmetto Road in Devonshire on Thursday evening.

Two men are in hospital with serious injuries following major traffic accidents last week.

A 45-year-old man is currently in a stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit of King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after having his bike written off in a heavy collision with a car at the junction of Roberts Avenue and Palmetto Road in Devonshire on Thursday evening.

And a 59-year-old man sustained a fractured wrist and a cracked pelvis in a hit and run incident at the junction of Front Street and Spurling Hill in Pembroke on Friday night.

Inquires are now under way, with the Police interested in speaking to anybody who may have seen a damaged dark metallic blue hatchback type car on the roads, which is believed to the be the vehicle involved in the latter accident.
