Pembroke man faces ten weapons charges
The man accused of attempting to shoot and kill two Police officers appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday.
A large Police presence - including Commissioner of Police Jonathan Smith - were among those packed into the plea court session when Allan William Daniels, 25, of Brooklyn Lane, Pembroke had his charges read to him.
The matter is indictable and Daniels was not required to enter a plea but Magistrate Edward King read him the ten counts, including attempting to murder Police Constable Warren Bundy and attempting to murder Police Constable Allan Meiguell while they were executing their duties on February 12.
Daniels was also charged with possessing a Ruger 9-mm seDaniels was also charged with possessing a Ruger 9-mm semi-automatic pistol, possessing four 9-mm metal jacket rounds of ammunition, making use of a firearm with intent to resist lawful arrest and had in a public place without lawful authority a Ruger 9-mm semi-automatic pistol.
Daniels was also charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession with intent to supply cannabis and possession of a black pocket scale with intent to use under the misuse of drugs act.
Mr. King remanded Daniels in custody until February 25 for mention.
