Police field 337 complaints over holiday weekend
Bermuda Police were busy dealing with 337 calls over the holiday weekend but most were of a minor nature, Service spokesman Dwayne Caines said yesterday.
There were five reports of breaking and entering, three in Pembroke and one each in St. David's and Sandys.
Seven people were arrested on suspicion of drunk driving - five failed the test, one passed and one refused.
Mr. Caines said the figure was down on last year and showed the anti-drink/drive message was making an impact.
There were also five complaints of loud music and five other disturbances including two at the Ice Queen in Paget.
He said other complaints were for things like road traffic accidents, rowdy teens, false alarms and drugs searches.
Police are also dealing with a theft of a Mercury outboard engine from a dingy moored outside the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy club over the weekend. The serial number is AA300Q55.
